It’s REALLY useful! We lose most of the heat from our bodies through our head so hair acts as a natural insulator and keeps the heat in. It also protects our heads from knocks and bumps. Bald people hit their heads more than people with hair because they dont get the warning signals from the folicles that their head is approaching an obstacle.
Finally, hair is used by people in sexual selection. Healthy looking hair signifies good health, so men tend to prefer women with healthy, glossy hair as their partners.

Hair is amazing, we have 3 types of hair too. Terminal, thick and long found on our heads to insulate the brain (don’t worry, bald people don’t get brain freeze more easily). Villus, thinner and generally short, these are the ones on your arms, eye lashes and brows, the eye lashes keep dust and dirt out of our eyes and the brows divert the sweat away. And the last type is pubic, found in out under arms and mons pubis regions.
