We need oxygen to breathe. There is no oxygen in outerspace, so we cant breath there. You dont need to go to outerspace to have trouble breathing. At the top of Everest the air is very thin, there is 2/3rds less oxygen up there than at sea level. Climbers who reach the top just can’t get enough oxygen to their muscles so they move incredibly slowly. Often they are only able to take one step every 30 seconds and they are completely out of breath. That’s why most mountaineers nowadays use oxygen tanks to help them climb the muntain.

space is a big vacuum, all the air in your lungs would instantly be sucked out into space. as there is not air to breath in, you can’t. So sadly if you tried you wouldn’t live for longer than 30 seconds.
