      Hahahaha I love this question! I’m a gadget fan, so my favourite changes depending on what is out there. Currently I’m loving my iPad, but when it comes to my science, I’m a huge fan of the Raman Probe, fascinating.

      I think it’s got to be the written word. Until books came around, the only way to learn something was to be told, face to face. Knowledge very limited and very easily corrupted, everything was basically just a big Chinese whisper. When books became widely available people could find things out for themselves and start to create their own ideas on that back of that. Texting and the internet is just an extension of the possibilities created by the written word.

      I think that would have to be electricity, it just adds so much to our lives. Be great if they could now find of way of having it without destroying the planet though
