That really depends on what kind of scientist you want to be. The better your grades, the more oppertunties you will have available. But don’t worry if you’re not predicted loads of A stars, it doesn’t mean you can’t work in science.

What Kind of Scientist do you want to be? if you know where you want to be and work on getting the best grades you can in everything I’m sure that you can be what ever kind of scientist you put your mind to.

I would say that good grades (B upwards) in the sciences, english and maths are essential and probably the sort of level you need to get to do A levels at you school anyway. Your A level subjects and grades will relate far more to your ability to get in to the university you want and the course you want to do. Like anything though, if you stick at it, you’ll get there somehow.
