• Question: Is it hard to be a scientist?

      Yes and No. You have to work quite hard, but I really like the work so the time flies by.

      It takes a lot of work to start off with, but then it gets easier.

      It can be but it’s like anything that you do as a job, you have good days and bad days. Science can be conceived as being hard as you usually need a degree from university to get started but if you get enjoyment from your work then it’s worth all the effort. As Bob says -it gets easier.
      It must be hard in a sense to have a job where you work outside and its cold and wet?
