      Yes – I am looking at two different types of brain operation to see which one is best for patients. The patients have very bad epilepsy and we need to cut out the bad bit of their brain that is causing the seizures. We have to cut open their skull and cut the bit out with a sharp knife but we are trying out a new technique where we use radiotherapy to kill the bad cells. If it works it will be fantastic for the patients as they wont need to have a big brain operation to cure their seizures.

      Yes, as well as doing the more routine testing, I am setting up a brand new experiment to test different drugs which we think will work another way altogether. It involves a lot of reading what others have done and adapting it to what we want to work.
