Hi there, I’m not sure really as everyone is working really hard to answer all the questions. I’m doing my best to answer as many as I can in the chats too. If I do win, I’d be both happy and sad as the others in this zone are doing great and also deserve to win too and while I’d make great use of the money, they all would too!

I don’t see it that I have to be worthy of the money – we are all answering questions and taking part in the chats as I’m aware so it’s just up to who gets votes and who doesn’t. All the others have very worthy casues to spend the money on as well so I can’t see how the students distinguish. I think I’m probably going to be at a disadvantage because I have made no secret of the fact that the drug discovery process tests on animals – even though I don’t do this myself, it’s still part of my job if you like.

It’s not whether I am worthy of the money – more whether you think what I would do with it ,would be a good use of it. Lots of people dont really understand epilepsy – they see people shaking on the floor on television programs and think that’s all there is to it, but epilepsy and seizures can affect people in lots of ways. There will be many people in your school who have epilepsy, and they may be very frightened of having a seizure in public because they know that other people won’t understand what’s happening. With my poster competition I hope that the people who enter will learn a bit a more about epilepsy and that the winning poster, which will be sent out to schools will help to teach a whole lot more people about the epilepsy.
