• Question: in the past people believed in witchcraft and paganism as it was seen as the explanation for things. Do you believe that in the future something will come along and 'replace' or drastically change our current understanding of the universe ?

I think that is the very best question we have had!

Yes – I do think that lots of things will come along that completely revolutionise the way we think now – it would be very silly to think we have suddenly arrived at all the answers. Only 120 years ago people thought that epileptics should have their arms and legs amputed because they shook in a seizure – we now know that seizures come from the brain, so we operate on the brain instead – but I often wonder what scientists working one hundred years from now will make of our ideas and understanding of things.

I believe so. We cannot know or understnad everything yet, we simply don’t have the understanding, intelligence or ability to at the moment. In several hundreds of years people my look back at what we take as truth and thing “how were they so blind to think that?”. Until then we’ll go on explaining things the way we do.
