As a Neuroscientist it would have to be an artificial brain or parts of the brain at least. It would be so much easier if you could implant an artificial brain into someones damaged brain which had been programmed to do the job that was needed by that particular part.
Stem cells may well be able to do this in the future.
Heart disease kills more people in the UK than any other disease. It’s because the arterties in the heart get clogged up. I think it would be great to have a tiny internal brush that moved about the heart, keeping the arteries clear, breaking up and dispersing all the harmful placques that build up over time.
I’d like to invent a microscopic digger, one that can cut away individual cells and test them at the same time to see if they are cancerous. Then, teams of my molecular diggers could go in and remove a tumour completely leaving none behind, only healthy tissues.
